Carl Freer is a Swedish businessman and technology entrepreneur. Freer was Chairman of the Board of Gizmondo and is now engaged in an effort to relaunch the business and other technology driven efforts.

In his young ages, Freer forged his parents' signature to his benefit, and was convicted of fraud for that. Also, for delivering bouncing cheques in the 1990s using the false name Erik Jonsson, he was fined €200,000 by a German court.
