Frank Raleigh Lautenberg is an American businessman and Democratic Party politician. Now the senior United States Senator from New Jersey, he is in his second stint in office, first serving from 1982 to 2001, and again since 2003.
He is the only sitting Senator to have returned to office after having left the Senate. Lautenberg is the third oldest member of the Senate.
