Kelendria Trene "Kelly" Rowland is an American R&B singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress, who rose to fame as one of the founding members of the successful R&B girl group Destiny's Child, the best-selling female group of all time, according to the World Music Awards and SonyBMG.
After a series of commercially successful releases with the group and a worldwide number-one success with rapper Nelly and "Dilemma," Rowland released her debut solo album Simply Deep in 2002. The album became a commercial success, eventually selling more than two million copies woldwide, and garnered three more or less successful singles, among "Stole." Rowland's often-delayed second album, Ms. Kelly was released during the third quarter of 2007. So far, the album has spawned the top 5 single "Like This," as well as the Snoop Dogg-collaboration "Ghetto" and international number-one single "Work." In 2008, a digital re-release of the album, entitled Ms. Kelly: Diva Deluxe, was released, including new songs as the Bobby Womack cover "Daylight".
