Lyman Abbott was an American Congregationalist theologian, editor, and author.
Abbott was born at Roxbury, Massachusetts, the son of the prolific author, educator and historian Jacob Abbott. Lyman Abbott grew up in Farmington, Maine and latter in New York City.
