William Roger Clemens. is an American former right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball. Clemens played in a major league 24 seasons for the Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees, and Houston Astros, from 1984 to 2007. Clemens won seven Cy Young Awards, two more than any other pitcher.
Clemens debuted in the majors in 1984 with the Boston Red Sox. He played 13 seasons in a row with them, more than half of his career. In 1997, he moved to Canada to pitch for the Toronto Blue Jays for two seasons. In both of his seasons there, Clemens won the pitching triple crown and a Cy Young Award.
