Thierry Breton was the French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry in the governments of Jean-Pierre Raffarin and then of Dominique de Villepin , Jacques Chirac being the President de la Republique. He was appointed on February 25, 2005, replacing Hervé Gaymard, until May 18, 2007, replaced by Jean-Louis Borloo.

He his currently a Professor at Harvard Business School where he teaches Leadership and Corporate Accountability .
