“Obviously, he's a good coach. That's why I brought him in. The fact that he's my brother makes it that much more special. He's already doing a hell of a job.”
Mike D'Antoni
“A good manager doesn't try to eliminate conflict; he tries to keep it from wasting the energies of his people. If you're the boss and your people fight you openly when they think that you are wrong - that's healthy.”
Robert Townsend
“The manager of a team is like a stagecoach, he can't move unless he has the horses.”
Pete Rose
“There are obviously some really good electronics that technology has brought us that have changed the nature of the cases we see.”
Dan Temko
“If I was not good enough, why was I brought in as coach last year?”
Javed Miandad
“Coach (Mike) Noll brought a lot of discipline with him from McHenry (his former coaching position) and has turned things around quicker than many people expected. They have some nice runners and good receivers. It should be a battle.”
David Inserra
“We're excited to finally get outdoors. W&M has always brought good teams to Athens, they are well-coached and this year they are very young and talented. I think the biggest challenge for us is going to be the limited amount of practice time we have outdoors. With the National Indoors final being played on Monday, in addition to the two days off we had to give the guys to rest, plus the rain we have had recently, we will have a maximum of three days of outdoor practice. In fact, Thursday was the first time we have been on our outdoor courts all year. It will take some time to get adjusted.”
