“Power plays and penalty kills are all about momentum. In fact, that's the way the game of hockey is played. One team gets the momentum and that's it. Today, Stevens Point did a good job killing our power plays. I think we only got one or two good shots when we had them a man down. Hats off to them. They played a very solid game today. We showed some inexperience and nerves today. Our goal now is to get back here again next year and try again. We've come a long way in a short time. The kids were great all season long.”
Chris Duncan
“We got in penalty trouble and gave them the momentum. They've got a terrific power play, and that's what got them the game.”
Craig Anderson
“The team is playing real well in front of me. It was our physical play and the PK (penalty kill) was the success tonight. It was a team win.”
Cristobal Huet
“The new rules, they seemed to adapt well, a little bit better than we did. Power play and penalty killing are going to be a huge deal this year. We're going to have to make sure we work on that.”
Chris Clark
“I think we're happy to be playing a different team than we've played this year. It's always good to play a new team, but it doesn't really matter who it is. We're just going to try and get few wins.”
Dan Murphy
“To get the power play going with a few quick goals really took their momentum away. That was the difference. I don't think it was anything fancy, just getting the puck on net.”
Wade Redden
“We had both our power play and penalty kill go south.”
