“This is the first year of the PGM program. Our first meeting started on Monday and our first tournament is supposed to be on Sunday September 12 at noon. It's official school property on the first [of September] but we've been able to practice since the 24th.”
Andrew Lewis
“Last year we started out pretty shaky, but then we lost in the second round of the tournament to Academy. This year we expect to go all the way. This is the group that can finish it. I believe it and I know they believe it.”
Colleen Quinn
“Every year, we start out wanting to win our conference and make it to the state tournament. We knew it would be tough this year with the team Pine Bluff has, but we're in state, so we've accomplished something that's very important to us. We're still alive and that's got to count for something.”
Rick Treadway
“The county tournament is annually one of the strongest tournaments in the state. And this year is no different. It should be a great tournament.”
Chris Como
“We wanted to get started early. It's too late in the tournament to start behind.”
Chris Chaffer
“We started four sophomores that year and we played in a national tournament in Tennessee. When we went into the lobby where the teams were, it looked like a lobby of WNBA players. We split our games in Tennessee (going 2-2) and I was proud of that. We went 22-12 and won the district championship.”
Tommy Aldridge
“It's a good way to start the year. It's never bad to win your first tournament.”
